Pempek


In this post i would like to shared about some food, which famous and delicious, from my country. There are to many food which is popular, delicious, rare, and cheap. But in this time i would like shared about Pempek. Pempek is one of popular food from Indonesia. As we know, the origin of pempek is Palembang. Pempek is good choice for many people while they are in spare time. Many touristen make pempek as a gift for his beloved family.

The pempek dough are made from mixture of fish meat, water, tapioca flour and salt. The fish meat which commonly used to make pempek is tenggiri. Beside tenggiri, we can use gabus or snakehead, gourami, mackerel and the latest variation is we can use with shrimp. With this dough we can make various pempek, such as pempek kapal selam the chicken egg wraped with pempek dough, pempek lenjer, pempek keriting, pempek adaan, pempek model, and the latest variation is pempek lenggang.

To served this food, we must deep fried in coocking oil until light pale brown. Then cut in bite size and showered in kuah cuko. We can add chopped of cucumber, ebi or noodle in pempek or maybe we can eat pempek with fish cracker called kemplang. This is it, pempek with ebi and chopped cucumber. It’s so yummy.
